Production Planner - Freeport, TX

Nalco Energy Services has an opening for a Production Planner to work in our Manufacturing Facilities located in Freeport, Texas. The primary reasonability of the Production Planner is to process Material Resource Planning for manufactured products in order to determine demand at the plant and to prepare the production schedule. The Production Planner will also be responsible for the following activities:

Schedule finished material and intermediate production in order to maintain inventory levels and satisfy customer demand

Monitor the work-off inventory to ensure it is used when possible

Work closely with the material control supervisor in order to produce a daily production schedule

Participate and/or lead inter-department planning meetings

Assist in product expediting, including revision of the production schedule, produce order status reports for customer service and determine packaging requirements in order to meet customer demands

Create and update the production schedule on a daily basis

Check finished goods storage tanks to ensure an appropriate amount is on hand

Collaborate with other departments and maintain a good working relationship and ultimately ensure a smooth flow of scheduling and production functions

Generate reports for customer service and other departments

REQUIREMENTS


The successful candidate will have the following:

B.S. degree with an emphasis in Business or Logistics

Prior logistics, production planning and/or inventory management experience preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Access, Excel, Word).

Hands-on experience with SAP.

APICS certification is desired.
