Napa, CA is located approx. 1 hour North of San Francisco, CA. The plant and on-site distribution center covers over 36 acres and employs approximately 1500 employeesThe successful candidate will lead manufacturing lines in a way that employees work together to help the plant become a world-class manufacturer, producing the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost—in an injury-free environment.Job Responsibilities:The Production Area Leader is responsible for goal alignment and achievement in the Manufacturing Excellence elements of Safety & Housekeeping, Quality, Productivity, Environmental and Service through the proactive leadership and engagement of People. Building a culture of mutual trust and accountability, the Area Leader listens to and communicates clearly and effectively with staff, operators and maintenance personnel. In partnership with shift and maintenance leadership, he/she also engages, coaches, and develops primary employees across all shifts.With solid technical and employee relations proficiency in a collaborative work environment, and with the understanding of operational and business metrics, the Area Leader will lead and perform the proactive identification, data analysis, problem resolution, and follow through on issues and opportunities impacting process, equipment and people reliability. Creating focus, structure, discipline and ownership, the Area Leader always strives and leads for continuous improvement.This position reports to the plant Operations Leader. Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred Six Sigma experience/certification is a plus
Lean Manufacturing Kaizen Event and 5S experience is a plus
Production leadership experience is essential
