PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
REQUIREMENTS
Position Summary: Able to supervise employees at a large beverage manufacturing facility. Must adhere to quality standards, safety, training, GMP's, all company policies & procedures. Responsible for evaluating, resolving any production, mechanical or procedural problems.

Essential Functions

1.Prepare production reports, analyze data, production systems and make recommendations to improve efficiency and cost control.
2.Produce a quality product and package for customers/consumers.
3.Identify and correct quality problems.
4.Provide employee training on safety and equipment operation.
5.Conduct employee meetings.
6.Understand policies, procedures, technical manuals, and other material pertaining to the operation and make decisions when appropriate.
7.Supervision of high-speed Production operations; staff of 15 –30 people.
8.Conduct performance reviews of all Production personnel. Establish goals to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

Other Responsibilities

1.Ability to identify equipment problems.
2.Perform package inspections for defects.
3.Provide explanations of blend formulas, chemical markings, and mixing procedures to management, peers and subordinates.
4.Perform basic computer functions.
5.Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
6.Other job duties as assigned.

Skills Required

1.Multi-Media Communication Skills.
2.Comprehensive knowledge of processing and packaging operations.
3.High degree of Mechanical Aptitude.
4.Knowledge TQM and GMP.
5.Mathematical skills – ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
6.Language skills – Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
7.Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
8.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Physical Requirements

1.Requires mobility to all areas of a multi-level production operation, height ranging from up to 20 feet, for extend periods of time.
2.Requires walking, use of hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
3.Requires reaching with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl.
4.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
5.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
