PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Our client is seeking an experienced professional to join their manufacturing management team as a Production Supervisor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of the production line, and will supervise the operators and production personnel assigned to their area. This position is responsible for 3rd shift production supervision.

This position is located in the Los Angeles, CA area.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Manage the production process, including the installation and implementation of process improvements and changes.
Develop and implement methods and metrics for maintaining acceptable safety, quality and productivity levels on the production line.
Lead the manufacturing team to assure that the needs of internal and external customers are met.
Train, develop and coach employees to assure achievement of goals for productivity, safety and cost controls.
Identify and implement value-added steps and procedures to assure continuous improvement in quality, productivity and cost effectiveness of the production process.
REQUIREMENTS
HS degree (BS Degree preferred)
5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of continuous process improvement and/ or lean manufacturing principals will be helpful.
