PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Purpose: Production Supervisor Job Description Summary Supervise shop employees in the area of Machine Shop/Cure Vapor. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvement in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


-Ensures effective employee relations.
-Provides employee coaching and development.
-Makes employment decisions.
-Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
-Balances safety, quality, productivity coast and morale to achieve positive results.

-Works to continuously improve in all areas including improving working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, cost) and increase employee skills and capabilities.
-Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to VP Operations.
-Provides daily leadership through example as well as effective timely communication, impart objective feedback, clear work instructions, use positive reinforcement
-Performs accident investigations
-Manages department priorities
-Tracks absenteeism and time-keeping
-Lead employee development and training

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

25-28/HR Hour
