Operations Director

Summary
Responsibility for operations employees and initiatives in Conway, Arkansas and other company locations

Responsibilities
·The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day activities, including:
oOperations performance
oBudget management
oIssue resolution
oMaintenance of customer relationships
oOverall operations performance
·Responsible for building relationships with railroads, including driving integration of services
·Interface with company management to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence
·Identify needs and receive direction on real time staffing requirements
·Enact contingency plans as needed
oEscalate and direct activities during systems problems, disasters, etc.
oIdentify potential problems, troubleshoot, escalate issues to local and network management and participate in post mortem analysis of problems providing input for future process improvements
·Review ongoing performance results to targets
oTake corrective measures with authorization and escalate as needed
oParticipate in planning process as needed
·Project a favorable image of the company to promote its aims and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all of its areas of endeavor
·Interface with customers as needed to resolve issues and leverage IntelliTrans’ products and services
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
·Bachelors Degree in a business related discipline
·Rail industry experience required
·Minimum 5 years of experience managing people and processes for the rail/logistics industries
·General Supply Chain and Logistics knowledge; railroad experience required
·A strong customer service mentality and ability to interact with customers, vendors
·Six Sigma or significant process improvement experience; demonstrated results driving continuous process improvement in cost, quality and service-level
·Strong leadership skills, ability to drive change, ability to work with people
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
·Ability to direct the work of remote employees is required

Preferred Qualifications:
·Masters Degree
·10 years of supervisory experience
·Customer Service management experience
