Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician

Under general supervision performs a variety of mechanical repair and preventative maintenance activities to keep the plant equipment in good working order. Repairs and services equipment including hydraulics, plumbing and pumps. May also perform basic electronic repairs on equipment controllers. Responds to maintenance requests as assigned. Determines the cause of the problem. Obtains the parts to perform the repair. Performs the repair. Performs routine preventative maintenance on the equipment. Maintains tools and physical inventories. Generates purchase requests to add needed parts to inventory as required. Assists with PM's on equipment. Follows all safety rules and wears all necessary protective equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum 2-5 years of experience working as an equipment maintenance mechanic. Good mechanical abilities and familiarity with basic hand tools. Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps and/or conveyors. The ability to read and comprehend written instructions (work orders, blue prints, equipment specifications) as well as verbal instruction. Formal trade school education in electronics or mechanics preferred.



Plant operates 24x7. Must be willing to work overtime on weekends, holidays and adjust work schedule when necessary.
