The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for improving profitability by leading the implementation of sound manufacturing principles to improve quality, cost, delivery and safety. Determines and provides all necessary direction to operators and support groups within their area of responsibility to ensure the proper and timely fulfillment of customer orders.


Manages production demands through sound scheduling practices that will ensure that all resources (staffing, equipment, methods and materials) are present to produce the required output. Works directly with Management, Planners and others to optimize production, quality and safety results. Communicates progress, issues, priorities and delivery commitments to all employees as well as management team in a timely manner. Contributes to and follows established safety, quality and production improvement goals. Increase employee team skill depth through use of cross-training matrices, development goal setting, task rotation and provide formal and informal performance feedback. Leads efforts for visual workplace 5S principles. Provides a safe workplace for all employees. Monitor employees daily productivity and quality output.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering. 5 years industrial experience with heavy emphasis on metallurgy operation including experience in a precious metals operation. Must be self-motivated, proactive and project-oriented. In addition, must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required. JD Edwards experience preferred. Ability to travel among the various Tiffany locations and vendors/suppliers.
