Manual Machinist

Purpose: Local Oro Valley company is looking for a Manual Machinist and an Automated Machinist. The job will require potential candidate to: Set up and operate manual Bridgeport/EZ-Track and manual lathe. Operate and set-up surface grinder. Optimize process to achieve maximum efficiency. Receive daily instructions from Production Supervisor and plan day accordingly using the Shop Floor Control Systems. Check parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper gauges. Use proper feed and speed for maximum efficiency. Train new hires or apprentices. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled. Perform other duties as assigned. Potential candidate will also be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and 75 lbs. occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and typing.
