Supervises maintenance team members in the support of mining, processing, packaging, engineered litter and shipping departments in addition to processing maintenance assistants. Plans and schedules the work for all personnel in these areas. Utilizes the equipment and material at hand to meet predetermined quality standards. Maintains an efficient operation with the established standards for cost, quality, labor, material, safety, and housekeeping. Assigns team members to jobs and instructs them in the performance of work assignments. Schedules special projects and emergency repairs for all departments in need of maintenance support.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Supervises and schedules daily maintenance department objectives in the production and process departments.
2.Directs the activities and plans work for the maintenance team, including production requirements, quality, cost,Safety and housekeeping.
3.Schedules and supervises preventive maintenance programs.
4.Supervises and schedules daily maintenance repair objectives.
5.Assist in all new machinery installation projects and/or renovations.
6.Analyzes actual and potential maintenance problems and recommend corrective actions.
7.Assists all team leaders with problems arising from equipment failure.
8.Assists the Engineering Manager to coordinate the efforts of the contractors with that of the productionrequirements for the King William operation.
9.Acts for the Maintenance Manager and Engineering Manager in their absence.
10.Assists Maintenance Manager in personnel problems as pertains to maintenance department. Maintains all daily reports of the maintenance department; on call for major breakdowns.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree or three years' maintenance related supervisory experience, in addition to an Associate's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
