JOB SUMMARY:

Sets up and operates universal circumferential and longitudinal semi-automatic welding machines to perform MIG and TIG welding of a variety of aluminum and stainless steel production parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Requires sufficient experience and training to demonstrate proficiency setting up and operating the semi-automatic welding machines indicated above. Must be able to obtain initial certifications required by MIL-STD-1595A and SFI QCI 4036 within 48 working hours of being assigned to this classification. Will be required to retain these certifications by passing periodic tests as prescribed by these guidelines.

Must be able to pass an annual vision screening, required by MIL-STD-1595A, where corrected vision in each eye is better than 20/30 for long distance and near vision capability permits reading Jaeger No. 2 type at 16 inches.
