Heavy Equipment Master Mechanic

Manitowoc Remanufacturing is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Master Mechanic. Disassemble, repair and re-assemble complete crane and or machine components. Work from drawings, diagrams, blueprints and schematics. Operate welding and torch equipment. Operate a variety of hand and power tools. Take charge of plant operations in the absence of Operations Manager and Shop Foreman. Follow and comply with all safety regulations and departmental housekeeping standards. REQUIREMENTS
Requires completion of high school or GED, three to five years experience in industrial construction equipment repair, ability to read and work from drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. Ability to operate machines, hand and power tools, ability to operate welding torch equipment, and operate a fork truck. knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and 24 volt electrical systems. Capable of controlling complete unit rebuild, have complete knowledge of crane / machine components and operations and the ability to operate the crane / machine. Ability to lead and train other employees in complete unit rebuilding. Posses complete set of mechanics tools, sockets and wrenches, up to 1 1/2". Be totally competent to assume operation of plant in the absence of the Operations Manager and the General foremen. Assist in plant maintenance and documentation of environmental and safety issues.
