Miller Rental Equipment (MRE) is a separate sales business of Miller Electric Mfg. Co. focused on serving the construction and industrial rental industry and we are currently seeking a qualified General Manager. MRE is seeking a highly motivated individual with a proven track record and accomplishments in managing a sales organization. The individual should have a proven track record of creating and implementing business strategies delivering near and long-term top and bottom line growth.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Develops the broader longer term strategies and direction for the business stemming from a well researched understanding of key construction and industrial end markets, rental industry trends and key customer insights.
Directly manages and supports the field sales team to successfully construct and execute meaningful individual regionally focused business plans within the framework of the strategy of the overall business.
Directly interfaces and develops constructive business relationships with upper level management of each 80/20 key national account.
Maintains a keen awareness of and exercises sound business judgment and interpretation of changing market conditions, and the dynamics and trends surrounding end customers representing the primary end markets of the rental channel.
Maintains a keen awareness of and exercises appropriate business judgment and interpretation regarding competitive activities and emerging threats.
Manages and champions a spirited team environment with clear communication and coordination between all aspects of the business, customer service, marketing and sales to effectively achieve the growth goals of the business.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. MBA a plus.
At least 5 to 10 years of functional experience in Sales Management and ability to demonstrate success in least one of the following areas: Business Development, Market Development or Key Account Development.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Self motivated – results driven, decision maker.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
This person has to be able to demonstrate the capacity to manage and lead the thinking and interaction among multiple functional departments and multiple individual business initiatives to affect the performance of the business as a whole. This person must be able to asses and project the operating needs of the business regarding volume, financial investments, human resource needs, organizational plans to increase top line growth and earnings.
