Position PurposeDesign and develop templates according to work orders, sample parts, or mockups for the fabrication of countertops.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Verify conformance of template dimensions to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales and micrometers.
Study blueprint of template to be made, compute dimensions, and plan sequence of operations.
Assemble template sections, as needed.
Clean and fine finish template, as needed.
Repair and/or rework templates, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Nature and ScopeThis position reports to the Installation ManagerMinimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age or older
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Education Required - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a associate's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience – 2
Physical Job RequirementsMust continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Additional Qualifications
Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
Ability to select appropriate tools and equipment needed to do a job. Interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to read indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with countertop templating
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
Knowledge of relevant company equipment safety policies, and procedures.
