As a Terminal Manager, you are responsible for the management of daily terminal operations, involving dispatch, drivers, customers and billing to ensure terminal profitability

Essential functions include:
Oversee the daily dispatch functions; assist dispatch with decision-making and driver management. This would also include reviewing and approving Tank Washes daily. Review and keep up to date all customer contracts for adequate fuel surcharges, rates on line haul and tank wash charges.
Driver recruitment, retention, payroll, correcting settlements issues, maintenance and enforcement of safety compliance of drivers and equipment.
Checking on dispatched loads to ensure loads are covered and equipment availability.
Communication with customers on service and rates, resolution of customer service and vendor issues.
Monitoring of terminal expenses and revenue.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Hire, train and manage dispatch, drivers, billing and operations personnel. .

Supervision/Training
Time frame to understanding position: 6 - 12 Months . .

Decision Making
Knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding DOT guidelines and company policies.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education/experience necessary to perform the job:
High School Diploma
4 year business degree
3 to 4 years bulk transportation industry experience

Minimum special knowledge and skills required:
Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products helpful.
Good communication skills and ability to deal with people.
Strong math skills, accounting/budget experience helpful.
Good problem solving skills.
