Sr. Technical Product Manager

Experian, a global leader in providing information solutions to organizations and consumers, is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Technical Product Manager to work in our Experian-Scorex division located in Allen, TX. In this role you will lead new product development and enhancement initiatives for designated products or product lines. You will serve as an internal and external ('face to the industry') product expert and provide detailed information to support sales and clients. In addition, you will work with Solution Consultants to develop and recommend a solution to meet customers and third-party processors’ business requirements. Key responsibilities will include: • Develop and participate in the delivery of both written and oral presentations to prospects and existing clients. Provide product expertise in the support of product sales activities. • Contribute to the development of technical demonstrations, whitepapers, and case studies. • Key stakeholder in the evolution of the product. Lead product enhancements and product positioning strategies to support business objectives. Requires managing the needs of multiple stakeholders internationally. • Establish guidelines for solution implementations and technical support including resource needs across multi-functional areas and provides strategic recommendations for solution design and implementation. • Major contributor of content that will be used to update user guides, technical manuals and training documents. • Provide input into the development and implementation of product collateral, trade shows, press releases, product briefs, and corporate intranet. Attend trade shows and conferences to promote product. • Provide input into development of customer communications, including newsletters, to maintain product visibility and solicit new sales. • 25% travel required. Both domestic and international.
REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years of relevant sales engineering, product management, project management or related experience with account management systems in financial services • 2 years of development or system administration required • Excellent oral and written communications skills • Knowledge of IBM mainframe operating systems, UNIX, AS400, Microsoft Servers, FTP, SAS, communication protocols, etc • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Services or related field or equivalent work experience required • Knowledge of credit card processors would be an advantage • Graduate degree in business, marketing or related field and knowledge of risk management is an asset.
