Safety Supervisor - Warehouse

We are recruiting for a Safety Supervisor to develop and administer a comprehensive health and safety program following the EQS requirements (OHSAS 18001) to create and maintain a safe work environment.

This position is responsible for leading, developing and implementing a comprehensive occupational health and safety program to identify and minimize risk and ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Will assist local management and corporate safety in improving safety in the operation.
Duties include, but are not limited to general safety training, loss prevention, facilities inspections, job hazard analysis, loss trend analysis, safety awareness, recordkeeping and regulatory compliance. Bachelor's Degree preferably in Safety Engineering, Occupational or Industrial Relations or applicable experience. Safety experience in warehousing or manufacturing is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing or working in safety with experience in developing and administering risk management, safety, and training programs.
• Working knowledge of OSHA required.
• The successful candidate must be knowledgeable of all federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations.
• A record of successful development and implementation of risk, safety, training and health management systems that reduces risk and injuries is preferred.
• Familiarity with OHSAS 18001 • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
