Quality Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION Our client is seeking a Quality Manager, responsible for the management of their foundry quality, laboratory, and melt departments.The Quality Manager is directly responsible for the management of the Quality Assurance department, including engineering, lab, and inspection, as well as the melt production department. The Manager is responsible for ensuring that accurate root cause is identified to correct quality issues, and that corrective action is identified, implemented and verified.





JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Metallurgy
• 5 years quality management or engineering experience in a foundry operation
• Dynamic personality, ability to lead and promote proactive action and follow-through
• Ability to plan, direct, control and supervise all of the areas of direct responsibility
• Able to interact effectively with all operations staff and perform well with all levels in the organization
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to implement new practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of department
• Excellent presentation skills as well as oral and written communication skills to train and supervise personnel; strong desire to motivate staff to achieve results
