Operations Specialist II - Managed Accounts

Group Overview:

An Operations Specialist in the Managed Account Operations team
performs a variety of functions and services for SI, SPC, AIS and IIS
clients using Schwab's Managed Account products. An integral part of
this role includes processing and internal/external client contact.
The processing aspect encompasses tasks such as new account opening,
account updating, and customer correspondence for one of the most
complex operational processes. Additionally, the team is responsible
for supporting the Checkfree/APL database used for the Schwab Managed
Account Sponsored platforms. This team reconciles the Checkfree/APL
database versus the Schwab Legacy system, creates and codes new
accounts in the Checkfree/APL environment, performs the monthly
billing operation for this separately managed account product and
maintains the cost basis tables for quarterly performance reporting.
The team is also responsible for servicing the outside Money Managers
participating in the Managed Account offerings.



Responsibilities:

Switch gears throughout the day to assist with meeting
critical cut-off times or high volume processing spikes
Flexibility, attention to detail, and understanding risk are
key components of this role
Ability to handle direct client interaction when receiving
and/or making client service calls
Network internally to research and resolve client operational
issues
Demonstrate the ability to build and sustain strong
relationships with clients and other Schwab business partners


Qualifications:

Demonstrated brokerage, banking back office, or operational
experience
Exceptional customer service skills and experience
Cross-functional operational knowledge or experience in
account opening, processing, or managed accounts is strongly
desirable
Must possess effective problem resolution and relationship
management skills and a strong sense of teamwork
Experience with Checkfree/APL is desired
A working knowledge of the Managed Account business at Schwab
and the Schwab Institutional systems are a plus
Series 7 & 63 desired, Series 8 a plus
