Marketing Manager - (BB13330)
Position Summary: Marketing project manager for product-related materials and sales support tools for variable annuities. Provide coordination and implementation of marketing plans driven by strategic partner initiatives and product-line initiatives. Work with Marketing Director, creative team and stakeholders to ensure all marketing tools and programs (print, electronic, audio) are maintained and refreshed as market, product, customer and regulatory needs dictate. Package and promote marketing tools and programs for wholesalers, advisors, sales management and relationship management. Develop project plans for maintenance and development of all materials. Assess and maintain appropriate levels of inventory.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Serve as project manager for the product-oriented marketing and sales support materials (print, electronic, audio) for the relevant product line. Work with Marketing Director, the creative team, compliance and manufacturer partners to ensure all existing materials are maintained and refreshed as market, product development, customer and regulatory needs dictate. Develop project plans and ensure they are communicated to all stakeholders and team members. Ensure adherence to project plans.
2. Package and coordinate wholesaler and advisor communications and marketing/sales support materials in relation to strategic partner and sales force campaigns and initiatives. Work with the Marketing Director to develop project plans around the development of materials and communications and promotion.
3. In conjunction with the Marketing Director and sales management, coordinate and deliver sales force training (in-person, by phone, written) and production of associated training materials, relating to marketing campaigns and efforts. Assess appropriate levels of inventory and ensure levels are maintained and managed.
4. Support Marketing Director in drafting of creative briefs, as needed.
5. Support Marketing Director in gathering input from the field (sales force) as to new sales ideas, campaign themes and sales support tools. Collaboratively work with Marketing Directors, other marketing managers, creative teams and manufacturing partners to prioritize development of marketing and sales support tools, striving to always find the commonalities across channels and customer needs.
6. Continually review all materials (print, electronic, audio) to ensure they are up-to-date. Obsolete materials as needed.
7. Support Marketing Director in development and deployment of sales support tools (sales ideas, drip campaigns, continuing ed programs, seminar materials, customer-specific campaigns, etc) relating to the relevant product line.
8. Serve as primary tactical relationship interface with manufacturing partners.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Training/Formal Education/Licenses:
BA/BS with emphasis in marketing, communications or related area, preferred
NASD series 6 required, or obtained within 90 days
Experience:
Two to ten years marketing or marketing communications experience
Minimum of two years financial services experience, preferably with the relevant product line
Understanding of wholesale distribution
Understanding of financial services intermediary distribution channels
Project management experience a must
