Manager, Maintenance and Modifications (Nuclear)

Manage the implementation of TVA Nuclear plant maintenance, modifications and construction activities. Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with all appropriate policies, procedures and regulations. Manage the implementation of work activities during plant outages. Manage the development and implementation of effective predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs. Manage all site construction contractors ensuring qualified contractors are available to support activities. Ensure that all activities are completed correctly on schedule and within budget. Manage the development and implementation of a site maintenance program for environmentally qualified equipment. Manage the development and implementation of a Nuclear Plant Reliability Data (NPRD) and maintenance trending program. Manage maintenance activities associated with spare parts acquisition and replacement of obsolete equipment. Observe plant operations activities to identify design and make procedural and process changes for improvements that are nuclear safety related, industrial safety related, or related to efficiency or productivity. Manage the requisition of needed support for maintenance and modification activities from other TVA service organizations and establish materials and services requirements for plant maintenance activities for procurement by TVA Purchasing. Manage the provision of data for an integrated plant schedule for all maintenance activities affecting the plant and implementation of those activities to support the schedule. Serve as the Operations Support Center (OSC) Manager during site emergencies and establish and manage the OSC staff activities that support the site emergency plan. Serve as a member and, when designated, as an alternate on the Plant Operations Review Committee. Establish training requirements and qualification criteria for assigned plant organizations and assess the adequacy of the developed training program and provided training services through observations of job performance. Maintain open and professional communications with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
REQUIREMENTS


Bachelors' degree in engineering or related science, or equivalent experience as described below. Twelve to fifteen years' experience in the design, construction, operation, or modification of nuclear power generation facilities, of which eight to ten years are in a supervisory capacity. Shall have the following: - familiarity with nondestructive testing - knowledge of craft work - an understanding of electrical, pressure vessel, and piping codes and standards. The individual shall have participated in the maintenance section activities of an operating nuclear power plant during the following periods: (1) one month operation above 20 percent power, (2) routine refueling outage.
