Manager 1 - Food Production

Unit Description: Sodexho is seeking a dynamic Food Production Manager to oversee the food service in a beautiful retirement facility. This opportunity gives the advantage of working for a large company offering a comprehensive benefits plan, while working locally with professionals. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this Food Production Manager will be responsible for ordering, inventory, planning and costing menus, and supervising staff. Most qualified candidates with have supervisory experience in the healthcare industry and be a Certified Dietary Manager.Position Summary:
Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus.Basic Education Requirement:
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School DegreeBasic Management/Supervisory Experience Required:
NoneBasic Functional Experience Required:
1 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
