Laboratory Director

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and administering all activities, operations, budgeting, and staffing needs for the Laboratory and Pathology in an acute care hospital.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology is REQUIRED and the possession of advanced degrees and courses in management is preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a General Laboratory Supervisor in the State of Tennessee is required.

Experience/Knowledge: Eight (8) years progressive experience in a clinical laboratory to include supervisory / management experience is required. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures and the ability to operate technical equipment is expected.
