Director of Communications

The Arizona Society of CPAs (ASCPA) is a professional association serving 5,400 CPAs in Arizona. We enhance the success of our members by providing services, leadership, and insight that enable them to deliver value-added services now and in the future. The position is part of a five-person marketing/membership team that reports to the Director of Marketing & Membership. Learn more about the organization at www.ascpa.com.

Main Responsibilities of the Position Include:

•Web site content manager
•Develop online communications strategies
•Event planning (meetings and seminars)
•Writing articles and press releases
•Working with volunteer groups
•Media relations
REQUIREMENTS
Skills Needed:

•Experience developing Web content
•Strong writing skills
•Coaching skills – Ability to lead volunteers to have effective meetings, successful events, and work together to achieve the mission.
•Event planning experience
•Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and events
•Ability to initiate projects and keep up with the latest trends

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related area and at least three years experience in the field preferred.
