The Director, Quality Management will:
Identifies and disseminates information regarding compliance with Federal and State regulations and standards of the organization chosen to accredit the Medical Center; ensures that audits that demonstrate substantial compliance are completed on a timely basis and communicated appropriately.
Takes lead responsibility for coordination of the JCAHO survey process and pre-survey preparation.
Is accountable for overall quality management of areas of responsibility, ensuring that standards meet JCAHO and OSHA requirements, as well as hospital policies and state and federal legal requirements.
Serves as PMC’s Patient Safety Advocate, assisting in the identification and resolution of actual safety problems and proactive prevention of potential problems; responsible for successful completion of root cause analysis for sentinel events and FMEA and other processes that prevent patient safety problems.
Responsible for the successful operation of PMC quality committees; directs the preparation of agenda and meeting minutes for Quality Council, Performance Improvement Coordinating Committee and the five Medical Staff PI Committees specified in the PMC PI Plan.

The Director, Quality Management must possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
Three years or more of clinical experience, with at least two years in a management position.
Experience in preparation of a JCAHO survey and other regulatory standards preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an in-depth knowledge of quality and risk management principles and practice, knowledge of state and federal regulations, the ability to present information effectively to senior management and to employee groups, and basic to intermediate computer skills.
