Commercial Construction Superintendent (Subcontractor)

Cactus Rose Construction, Inc., a well established, progressive commercial subcontractor specializing in joint sealants, fireproofing, waterproofing, firestopping and deck coatings in Tempe, Arizona (Phoenix area) has an excellent opportunity for a high initiative, safety oriented, dependable superintendent with 3-5 years experience in waterproofing and/or sealants - preferably both. Below grade waterproofing experience, Spanish bilingual are pluses. Firestopping experience an additional plus.

Responsibilities
The superintendent will manage foremen and crews and control their performance to meet operational standards for productivity, quality and customer service, while maintaining safe work environments by following and enforcing safety standards and procedures, and complying with all legal regulations. Through pre-job and job in progress walks this individual will assess work requirements and conformity with work details on field reports, and advise on the safest and most efficient work methods and techniques. The superintendent will be responsible for negotiating and resolving issues that arise with foremen as well as other subcontractors, site superintendents and suppliers; participating in internal project reviews; and coordinating with office personnel. The superintendent is also required to participate in the preparation and or delivery of training programs in waterproofing and/or sealant methods and techniques, and or any other training program topics.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have 3-5 years on- site commercial construction supervisory experience that includes running foremen and crews in waterproofing and or sealant operations, or roofing company foreman experience, or similarly related experience that has resulted in extensive knowledge of products, methods and techniques.
Must have product knowledge (Carlisle; WR Grace, Tremco; 3M, Sonneborn, Sika; etc.).
Experience dealing with general contractors.
Excellent verbal communication and people skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is not required, but a significant plus.
Must be able to handle multiple fast paced projects and work cooperatively with estimators and contract administrators.
Must be highly organized, focused on productivity improvements, and skilled in managing staff to bring projects in on time and on budget.
Must comply with, and ensure compliance by subordinates with, corporate drug policy, and all other corporate policies.
Must be willing to work extra hours and weekends when required.
Must be able to travel as required in the Southwest, and occasionally to other regions.
