ANALYST SR. REVENUE MGMT (STRATEGIC PRICING)

Functional Area: ProfessionalPosition Description: The position is responsible for managing and optimizingcompetitive pricing in a subsetof America West s markets worth approximately $400 million annually. The analyst develops and implements interdepartmental revenue-maximization strategies through rigorous quantitative analysis of: historical booking trends, the changing competitive environment, and consumer-buying behavior. The pricing analyst is on the front line of the competitive pricing battle waged daily between the nation s major airlines. Additional duties include analysis and design of departmental business processes as well as other ad hoc projects related to the airline s strategic goals. Mastering this job will lead to a thorough understanding of the core economics that drive the airline industry and position the analyst for transfer/promotion to any business unit within the airline.

Education: Bachelors DegreeExperience: Not IndicatedPosition Requirements: BS/BA in a quantitative discipline (economics, mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, finance, etc.) Masters degree preferred
Interest in statistical forecasting, optimizing a quantitative problem, marketing and understanding consumer-buying behavior
Refined PC skills (MS Office, SAS, Business Objects, etc.)
Demonstrated analytical ability
