AA - Project Manager

Duties: Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Plans, organizes and controls work activities of the project. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services and client services. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analyses and solutions of problems.Background and Experience: (including education, skills, work activities)
Experience: At least seven years of demonstrated experience is required in project management. Three years must be non-overlapping project management experience in information technology projects. Must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work independently or under general direction only.Education: A Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline is required. Directly related education or training can be substituted for project management experience at the rate of 1 year of formal education equals 9 months of experience not to exceed a total of 24 months substitution of education or training for experience. Must be certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and approved through the Project Management Institute (PMI).(a) Minimum required:
PMP certified.
Managing projects using the RUP process.
Earned Value Management.(b) Desired:
OOAD using UML.
