Or,like the Infinity Stylus, one of the best-selling cameras in history.San Jose, CA - The Technical Writer is responsible for the development, production, and maintenance of Endoscope repair manuals and associated documentation. This will include working closely with engineers and other technical staff to gather and prepare technical information. Interprets compiled technical documents as applied to actual processes to ensure accuracy of manuals being created. Standardizes terms and terminology to maintain consistency of documents. Develops and maintains repair and reference manuals, and associated documentation as required to provide technical instruction. Develops a style guide for endoscope repair manuals and other associated documentation. Drafts documents from compiled source material to conform to established master templates. This may include scanning and editing artwork. Maintains version control of documents, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete. Revises or corrects existing technical documents. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS
(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) A minimum of 3 or more years of work experience as a technical writer within the electronics and medical industry is required. Must be proficient with Adobe FrameMaker. Experience with creating master templates is necessary. Must be proficient in Jasc PhotoShop Pro or other image editing software. Must possess good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload. Must be detail oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Basic math skills are a must. A 2-year English/ Technical Writing degree or the equivalent is preferred.
