Key innovations in CDMA such as 1x EV-DO were conceived and brought to market by corporate R&D. As a member of this team, you will be afforded an opportunity to work at the very leading edge of what QUALCOMM is developing for the wireless world from concept, through hardware, systems and software. Our designs are transferred through other divisions into production ASICs and system software and also directly to our partners in the industry. We are currently seeking developers to work on our EV-DO Revision A technology.As a member of this software team, you will work in a challenging environment with a well-defined product roadmap, and a strong customer base. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work on our driver development team. In this assignment, you will develop an intimate knowledge of our EV-DO Revision A technology, and the associated commercial driver software for our base station.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Experience: Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer, EV-DO CSM Device Driver Development Familiarity with at least one real-time operating system.
Object-oriented design and development with C++.
Real-time embedded programming, including experience in interfacing directly with system hardware,
handling system interrupts, testing and debugging hardware/software interfaces.
Understanding of device drivers: concepts, architecture, interfaces, operation.Additional Skills: * Knowledge of CDMA 1xEV-DO (Release 0 or Revision A)
Familiarity with C
Familiarity with an assembly languageEducation Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer engineering or equivalent required. Master's or above desired.
