PARALEGAL
POSITION SUMMARY
Law Department Paralegal supporting the legal needs of the Human Resources Department and PBM regulatory and business operations.Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
At direction of attorney, assist with investigation of EEOC Charges and draft position statements, as well as assist with investigations of personnel issues; perform legal research on variety of employment law issues; assist with drafting HR forms; respond to document requests, including court orders; assist with review and revision of employee policies; draft letters on a variety of issues; track legislation and new laws; assist with maintaining files; track cases of interest; interface with internal business clients and government agencies (i.e., EEOC, Departments of Insurance). May also provide assistance with PBM regulatory and operations issues, including licensure and research projects. Performance of other duties required by supervisor.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills and be able to coordinate the timely completion of assigned tasks with attention to detail, working independently or as part of a team under deadline. Must be a motivated self-starter with strong initiative and strong research capabilities.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree and Paralegal certificate preferred, with prior paralegal experience preferably HR/Compliance related.
EXPERIENCE
Prior HR, Compliance or similar experience in either a corporate law department or law firm environment required, prefer at least 4 years. Experience with Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis required.
