P&C Attorney III

Our business helps people protect what they value and deal with the unexpected.Responsibilities:Represents Safeco insureds in 3rd party cases or Safeco in first party cases regarding enforcement of contractual rights under a policy.
Responsible for developing the legal file for quick and fair resolution, including gathering information needed to evaluate the claim, obtaining the necessary expert opinions, conducting discovery and representing the client in mediations, depositions, arbitrations and trial.
Works closely with the Casualty claims departments to get information needed to evaluate and negotiate case to resolution.
Responsible for filing and arguing necessary dispositive motions.Qualifications:We seek an associate with at least 5 years of trial/litigation experience, preferably also with some construction defect experience. Must possess exceptional analytical and research abilities, excellent written/oral communication and negotiation skills, knowledge of insurance coverage and have significant experience with Word and Microsoft applications. Membership in The California Bar is mandatory. REQUIREMENTS
