Legal Hiring Manager
Our client, a top international law firm with multiple offices throughout the World, has requested we conduct a search for an experienced legal hiring manager for its bay area offices. We are seeking a professional that is looking for an opportunity to work in a top firm and step up to a new challenge.
The legal hiring manager will be a member of the senior management team and will be responsible for implementing all recruitment and retention strategies as set forth by the firm.
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and coordination of the legal hiring programs for two offices, including the summer associate program, recruitment of lateral attorneys, on-campus recruiting and the orientation of entry-level attorneys and lateral associates.
The legal hiring manager will manage the attorney training, integration into the firm, professional development, Bar admissions and CLE programs.
In addition, the legal hiring manager acts as the liaison between the attorneys and the parent office regarding questions concerning payroll, benefits, policy and procedures, vacation and sick time-off, performance evaluations, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will posses the following skill set:
•Ability to plan, organize and implement detailed and time sensitive projects.
•Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
•Ability to lead, organize and motivate teams.
•Extreme attention to detail with high standards for quality.
•Familiarity with budgeting and expense analysis.
Job Requirements:
•College degree with 3+ years of experience in legal recruiting or related experience in law firm recruitment.
•Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and delegate.
•Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the firm (partners, associates, senior management and support staff).
•Working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and other recruiting tools.
