Tyco Electronics is seeking an Intellectual Property Attorney to work in our Wilmington, Delaware office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage intellectual property matters for assigned business units and provide full range of intellectual property services, including:
• Counsel business unit managers on intellectual property issues;
• Manage docket and workflow for US and foreign patent portfolio, including invention disclosures and patent applications, prosecution and renewals;
• Render opinions on patentability, freedom to operate (patent clearances), and intellectual property infringement;
• Provide litigation support and manage outside counsel;
• Provide support for intellectual property acquisition and divestiture;
• Conduct computer-based intellectual property investigations and
research.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Graduate of nationally recognized and accredited law school.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or significant work experience
in electronics.
• Admitted to at least one State Bar and registered to practice before
the US Patent and Trademark Office.
• Excellent communication, writing, research, analytical & organizational skills.
• Minimum 5-10 years of intellectual property experience.
