Alston & Bird is conducting a search for a Director of Conference Services to oversee the event planning and food and beverage operations of the firm. Direct the planning and logistical arrangements of all firm conferences and meetings and work closely with the event planners in Business Development and Attorney Recruiting. Motivate, manage, and lead a team of event planning and conference services staff. Develop vendor service RFP's, negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships. Oversee development and management of conference services and event budgets. Design and implement best practices through process improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
This Director of Conference Services Requires
Previous management experience in event planning or convention services;
A Bachelors degree is also required.
Qualified candidates must also possess strong management skills, strong negotiating abilities and excellent communication, research and writing skills
Enthusiasm and a dynamic personality.
