Business Process Management Senior Writer/Editor

The Senior Writer/Editor within the Business Process Management(BPM)team will lead and direct stakeholder analysis, communication planning, and internal communication programs to enhance the success of cross functional initiatives including but not limited to Lean Six Sigma projects, BPI, BPO, Kaizen Events, and other efforts designed to improve processes, reduce expense and increase revenue. Creates strategic plans to Works cross-functionally to coordinate and deliver communications through corporate resources residing in Human Resources, Public Relations and various business units. Job Responsibilities Include:Communicate the strategic direction of the Company as related to BPM efforts
Utilize communication strategies and plans to effectively navigate the challenges posed by high levels of transformational change.
Work in partnership with project leaders to tailor communication plans to the specific needs of their projects and stakeholder audiences
Develop short and long-term communication strategies and tactics to infuse Safeco culture with a Lean Six Sigma, data-driven approach to decision-making.
Translate statistical data into practical terms, and communicate results to a large and varied audience of stakeholders and employees.
Develop templates for communication planning and stakeholder analysis to be applied on all BPM projects
Write communications related to larger-scale BPM initiatives
Coordinate with Public Relations to develop key messages for all-employee audience as well as the public, if required
Coordinate with Change Management team to ensure that appropriate change management activities are conducted in coordination with BPM projects.
Execute communications strategies, adjusting priorities to manage new and emerging issues and situations both internal and external to the organization.
Prepare, communicate and educate business owners, BPM team and cross functional team liasons on key messages and communications strategies related to BPM efforts.
Advise senior management on specific tactics and timelines for implementation of communication plans.
Participate in cross-functional project teams in an advisory role, to ensure continuity of business unit/department communication plans across the Company.
Partner with IT to manage the content and functions of the BPM website.
Continuously gather and communicate employee feedback on BPM initiatives. Utilize feedback to inform future communication plans and strategies.We are seeking candidates with the followig qualificaions:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
5 years experience developing and executing effective internal communication programs
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact with senior management and communicate at all levels of the organization
Ability to work in cross functionally to influence others
Management of internal communication for major corporate change initiatives such as Business Process Management, Mergers and Acquisitions, or Business Process Outsourcing preferred
Familiarity with the language of Lean Six Sigma
Past experience managing communications in a Lean Six Sigma environment strongly preferred.
High tolerance for ambiguity and change.
Expert level knowledge of change management principles and practices.
