Receiving trademark search requests and conducting and analyzing on-line trademark screening searchesHandle all aspects of U.S. trademark prosecution and maintenanceOversee filing and maintenance of international trademark applications and registrationsOversee execution and legalization of documents for submission in international trademark mattersInvestigate possible infringements and draft cease and desist or inquiry letters when appropriateInteract with clients regarding various trademark/copyright issuesPrepare summaries and status reports of cases for review of in-house counsel and clientsDraft legal correspondence and memoranda for attorney review.Maintain trademark database and generate database reportsAssist with due diligence and other intellectual property issues related to transactional matters.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong computer skills including intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).Strong oral and written communication skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent organizational and analytical skills required.Ability to prioritize responsibilities on a daily basis.Must work efficiently under pressure and remain flexible to changes.Must be self motivatedProven ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision in complex matters Experience / Education
ABA approved Paralegal Certificate.5 years experience in Trademark Paralegal role.
