SECURITY ASSOCIATE (PT and FT)

As required or directed, guards and patrols company property, facilities to protect property and personnel against, fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and other hazards or threatening activities. Controls entrance points. Periodically tours premises, examines doors and windows to determine that they are secure. Completes security reports and records as required or directed. Reports irregularities to the Security Coordinator. Must have flexibility in schedule to respond and adapt to urgent and/or unplanned security matters. Ability to be on call as required or directed for all three (3) shifts.

PART-TIME SCHEDULE: An average schedule of 27.5 hours per week on assigned shifts and additional hours and some holidays and weekends when necessary.

FULL-TIME SCHEDULE: 5 days on and 2 days off including weekends and holidays.

3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent, prior experience in law enforcement or security preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with basic PC skills. Requires tact, diplomacy and judgment in exercising duties. Must have good analytical skills and able to work, perform, and make decisions under stressful situations. Driver’s license required. Current First Aid/CPR/Defibrillator training required. If not trained, candidate must satisfactorily complete training as scheduled by the Security Coordinator.
