Product Marketing Manager - Records Management

Basic Function of the Job:
The Product Marketing Manager, Records Management provides the Marketing leadership and direction for the Records Management products and services for Iron Mountain, North America. This position is responsible for developing providing base product marketing for their product lines including marketing plans and tactics to support the business objectives. This includes: development and implementation of marketing strategy and tactics to support service line revenue goals, launching new service lines, analyzing performance of current offerings, analyzing and recommending new service offerings, developing and executing integrated marketing plans, messaging and positioning, and ensuring sales channel readiness through sales training, sales tools and materials to efficiently and effectively sell Iron Mountain’s services. This individual will have management responsibility for the records management product marketing team.
This job will foster close working relationships with Iron Mountain Product Management, Sales and Operations leaders and develop effective strategies and tactics to drive new sales leads and revenue as well as customer retention programs to sustain existing revenue. This position is responsible for articulating the product vision and value proposition to customers, prospects, partners, colleagues and executive-level audiences. This individual will provide product marketing leadership and direction for their service line to maximize sales opportunities in ways that increase bookings, revenue, customer base and market share.

30Marketing Strategy, Programs
A.Plan and drive marketing strategies that ensure successful positioning and messaging and timely launch of products/services.
B.Develops integrated Marketing Plans to support service line new revenue goals and manages the implementation of those plans while staying within budgetary guidelines.
30Subject Matter Expert / Sales SupportC.Define/refine product value propositions, Develops Messaging and Positioning, buyer personas/profiles, sales and executes those in presentations, PR, Collateral and Sales Tools.
D.Own web content for products/services; participate in business requirements scoping of the website. Ensure content is current and complete.
E.Contribute to the content and management of marketing Imtranet and newsletter
F.Serve as a subject matter expert regarding business and technology trends that affect the service line; product roadmap, competition; market and customer needs; Best Practices; and buying behavior. Provide Level 2 sales support.
G.Effectively represent Iron Mountain, its products and technologies to customers, prospects, partners, analysts, press, executive-level audiences and other significant constituencies, as well as represent those constituencies to Iron Mountain
15Customer retention
H.Supports growth of new service line offerings in existing customer base
I.Work closely with Sales, Account Management, and Product Management to define and refine current service offerings to existing customers to enhance customer satisfaction and pro-active corporate image, maintain service commitments and ensure the possibility of additional product/service sales.
15Service line management
J.Analyzes the performance of current service offerings including win/loss analysis, concepts for new services (includes forecasts for those new services), and service offerings of competitors. Collaborate with Product Management to define value and prioritize future product requirements and roadmap. Provide product lifecycle management within the geography.
K.Provide the “voice of the customer”, sales and account management to worldwide product management to ensure marketability of products, establishing and tailoring of value propositions for appropriate market segments.
10Organizational integration, leverage and alignment
L.Foster close working relationships with Sales, Product Management, Marketing Communications, Field Marketing, PR, Corporate Marketing, Executive and Operations teams to effectively leverage expertise and resources, and utilize cross functional teams to maximize and focus resources on the achievement of Marketing and business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business is required. Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in Marketing in a technology based service business, at least 5 of those years experience must be in Product Marketing. Previous employee management experience. An MBA or equivalent graduate degree is desirable.
IV.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
A.Candidate must be highly motivated, customer-focused, set high standards, and possess strong analytic skills. Must be able to think strategically without losing site of the details.
B.Must have strong communications skills and experience creating presentations and delivering them to groups of executives, analysts, and IT services buyers for companies of a wide variety of sizes. Must have previous proven experience developing effective Marketing Plans, presentations and Sales tools.
C.Must have strong technical aptitude characterized by the ability to understand technical concepts, value proposition and benefits and translate them to a wide variety of audiences.
D.Must have the ability to persuade others to follow plan. Must be successful in working in a highly matrixed organization and getting things accomplished through the efforts of others. Must be a self-starter with a sense of urgency and a strong desire to be part of building something new.
E.Strong project management skills required. Knowledge of the computer storage and backup market desirable.
F.Ability to think strategically without losing site of the details
