Responsibilities: Greenberg Traurig is seeking an experienced Business Director to oversee its Miami, FL office and Shared Service Operations Center in Doral (West Miami), FL. This position is responsible for office administration for 177 attorneys and managing 340 employees at GT’s downtown Miami office location, as well as office administration for 125 shared service support staff in Doral. Position reports to the Managing Shareholder of the Miami office and the Chief Administrative Officer. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Administer local and firm-wide policies and strategic plans to achieve organizational goals
•Maintain good interpersonal relations/communications with all business staff, attorneys and clients
•Manage the billing and collections process for the office
•Preparation and administration of office budgets, payroll, benefits and compensation, and other HR functions
•Office services, facilities management, technology, document center, research/library, and lateral attorney recruiting oversight
•Supervision, training and utilization of business staff employees
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree preferred with minimum of 15 years of experience in an administrative leadership position with a law firm or other professional services organization. Candidate must have a strong financial background and a general understanding of human resources policy and practice. Strong supervisory, organizational, administrative, and technical skills required. Facilities management experience desired, along with ability to develop and maintain relationships with third party vendors. Candidate must have very strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work successfully with others at all levels within the Firm. Flexibility to work overtime and occasional travel.
