Warehouse Specialist

N.Glantz & Son, national wholesale distributor for the sign industry since 1906, has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Specialist at our Orlando Branch.

Qualifications:

This position requires previous warehouse or distribution center experience, shipping and receiving knowledge
The ability to operate a forklift and the ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Applicants must also have a clean driving record, as making deliveries will be one of the responsibilities for this job as well as filling in for route drivers on occasion.

REQUIREMENTS

Read customer's order tickets, shipping orders, and/or receiving paperwork and determines where items should be moved, gathered, stored or distributed to
Moves products from the receiving area to the designated area within the warehouse where the product will be placed for storage or delivery and places products and materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code and bin location.
Will sort and store hazardous materials according to the Hazmat regulations.
Picks and pulls customer orders from inventory stock and places the orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station, staging area, or shipping area to be loaded onto delivery vehicles.
May open bales, crates, and other containers and may repackage some materials and mark with identifying information.
Completes inventory cycle counts and processes paperwork and records amounts of materials or items received or shipped. Weighs, measures, or counts items for distribution within the branch to ensure inventory accuracy.
Uses the computer to enter records into the NxTrend inventory management system.
May operate power tools such as a saw to cut products to customer specifications.
Drives or operates a forklift, cherry picker, or a lift jack vehicle to transport stored items from the warehouse to the staging area for shipment or delivery and frequently climbs ladders.
Services the will call customers walk in business as needed and prepares parcels for mailing and/or shipping including warehouse transfers.
Maintains good inventory practices when handling products using care to avoid damage and loss
Processes customer returns, tracks them in inventory and processes burnt out transformers in a timely manner to receive rebates/ refunds.
Occasionally makes “hot shot” or local deliveries and may act as a backup for Route Delivery personnel.
