VMI Demand Planner

Apparel Production/Product Management

Major international corporation needs an experienced apparel production/product manager to work with their US and Far East vendors and suppliers as well as the internal staff
Position reports to the VP of Corporate Production and will lead in pricing negotiations with raw material and manufactoring vendors.
Will work with the corporate technical staff in the cost engineering of all garments as well as daily training and supervision of subordinates.
Daily oversight on product/raw material pricing, delivery, quality and order entry/shipments.
Ensure accuracy of the product planning cycle.
Serve as liason with Creative and Tech Design as well as the fabric/textile departments.

REQUIREMENTS
Prefer at least 3+ years of working experience in apparel manufacturing, production and/or sourcing management.
4 year degree preferred in apparel design/merchandising with pattern/maker training in Gerber/Lectra software systems.
Must have good knowledge of apparel/textiles, patterns, cost negotiation skills and garment construction experience coupled with good computer skills in WORD and OUTLOOK mail.
Any Far East experience would be a great asset.
