Technology Analyst- ShortageOverview of Position:

As the Retail Control Analyst - Technical Specialist for Shortage Control, the primary function is to lead the department efforts in utilizing technology to present information in an exciting, consistent, and effective manner.

Technical responsibilities include:Upgrade and maintain the department website.Develop applications, tools and reports to increase efficiency.Development of web based training modules.

Retail Control responsibilities include:Merchant contact on issues pertaining to Shortage, Receiving / Purchase Journal (PJ's), Return to Vendor claims (RTV's), Accounts Payable (AP), and Inventory Reconciliation.Conduct Merchant trainings in PJ's, RTV's, AP and Inventory Reconciliation.Drive the Inventory Reconciliation process; including AP and Receiving research and adjustments, audit of merchant submitted adjustments, and the review of bookstock corrections.Identify and account for merchandise intransit during inventory.Coordinate self-insured loss processing.

Key Accountabilities:Develop ASP and VB applications.Troubleshoot and resolve SQL, ASP and Visual Basic utilities.Build and maintain Access 2000 databases and associated utilities.Design and develop internal reports and workflow applications.Research and resolve errors with transactions in Receiving and AP systems.Coordinate the development of web based training modules for Merchants and Stores in partnership with content experts.

A Retail Control Analyst must be creative, self-motivated, good leadership skills, and able to be a part of the team or work independently to complete department projects. They must possess the organizational and management skills necessary for balancing long-term and short-term projects with routine functions.
