We seek leaders for our corporate office in Westlake Village, CA who want to be an integral part of our team.Job Responsibilities:The primary function of the Analyst is to transform high level business requests into detailed and actionable analytics that meet or exceed the needs of internal business clients. The ability to extract and manipulate data from multiple source systems is essential to performing the Analyst function.
This position will also require partnering with IT to perform UAT and data validation functions. Hands-on technical ability will be required to satisfy this aspect of the position and it will require the candidate to be proficient in at least two programming languages, preferably PL/SQL and MS Access (VBA).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Meeting with internal clients to determine the nature of their business problem/opportunity. Design the analysis to fit their specific needs. Identify which programming tool is best suited for pulling and manipulating the data. Perform all data extracts and manipulation of the data using the appropriate tool.•Analytics are enterprise wide requiring an understanding of store retail, online retail, logistics, fulfillment, merchandising, forecasting, etc. Many of these business areas have their own systems and this position is responsible for learning those systems.
•Develop analysis for the Management Team.
•Variety of programming languages/tools are used (SAS, PL/SQL, MS Access, Micro Strategy OLAP, Toad, etc.)
•Develop process improvements and/or alternatives
•This position is responsible for all of the programming required to complete the analysis, including the extraction of data from various sources. For some analyses, extensive data preparation may be required to combine data from disparate systems.
Required Skills:Minimum Requirements:
•3-5 years programming and Business Analysis
•Proficient in multiple programming languages, at a minimum PL/SQL and MS Access (VBA), with the ability to quickly learn others.•Strong MS Applications background(Excel, Word, Power Point, Proejct)
•BA/BS Required
•Willingness to learn
•Business Acumen and strategic thinking.
Preferred Requirements:
•Experience as a Micro Strategy developer
•Working experience with JDA
