Materials Planner

Materials Planner needed at RR USA Inc., a Delaware County based manufacturer/importer/distributor of mechanical and hydraulic components experiencing rapid growth. Responsibilities include:
•Inventory Planning including determining quantity required for stock, based on customer demand and known lead times from suppliers
•Utilizing the forecasting system in conjunction with input from the Sales Department to develop demand for the MRP system
•Follow up with supplier factories on past due orders and quotes for special orders
•Respond to requests from the Sales Department for stock status and lead times
•Perform data entry transactions to move inventory between warehouses
•Validate and issue purchase orders for inventory items
•Maintain item master list
•Maintain vendor master file including purchase price cost
•Issue purchase orders
•Review inventory for slow moving or obsolete items
REQUIREMENTS
•Knowledge of commonly used concepts of materials management
•College degree and 2-4 years related experience or undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Planning
•Experience with Microsoft Windows based MRP systems
•Ability to import data from MRP into Excel spreadsheets for analysis
•Knowledge and skills to do analytical work with Excel spreadsheets
•Ability to learn MAS 200/500 software
•Ability to learn and understand product lines
