As a result of the July 2000 reaffiliation with Scripps Clinic, Scripps now has approximately 10,000 employees and also cares for patients at 12 Scripps Clinic locations throughout San Diego County.Division: Scripps HospitalsDepartment: SURGERYJob Type: Full-TimeShift Type: VariesShift Hours: 8 Hr ShiftPosition Profile: Under the direction of the Director or Manager, this position is responsible for supporting supplier sourcing processes, order-to-pay processes, open order follow-up, receipt discrepancy and identification of aternative products/substitutions for Surgery Department at Scripps Mercy Hospital. This position supports efforts to obtain supplies and services at the lowest total cost and identifies opportunities for product standardization and contracting relationships. This position supports communication efforts with the Contracting Department, Value Anaylsis Teams (VATs), and end user departments. This person also supports contract negotiation activity and product utilization management, for supplies and equipment used in the department. Responsible for the various aspects of charge capture (submitting for new charge codes, updating charge sheets). REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum for two years experience in Buying (Health Care System experience required), specifically for a Surgery/OR department. Two years experience in a Supply Chain Management support role may be considered in lieu of actual buying experienc. Excellent computer skills. Excellent interpersonal sklills required.
