Inventory and Rotables Leader

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, TransportationFunction: ManufacturingResponsibilities: Own development of strategic inventory and rotables plan within Materials and Distribution function.
Identify critical X's and reduce process variation by developing strategy through Six Sigma tools.
Define, scope and select projects that will positively impact inventory and turns.
Conduct regular project reviews with project owners to assure accomplishment of key results.
Communicate progress, status, and issues to business leaders. Deliver inventory and turns improvements within materials and distribution function.
Manage the rotable pool purchase process for Unit Exchange cores including budget, requirements validation, approval, sourcing, and control of all rotable pool acquisitions.
Maintain Close contact with Product Planning to develop SI, SII & IOP plans for the rotable pool.
Work closely with finance to manage rotable pool surplus / deficit, development of the rotable management system & physical inventory process.
Lead transportation management for component repair and exchange; establish budget and lead projects to contain transportation costs.
Lead unit exchange pool management activities including cycle reduction, due from policy controls, and financial tracking and visibility. Refine and drive consistency on pool asset management business processes for GE and EMD repairs.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
1+ years Unit Exchange experience
Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt Certified
Ability to Travel 20%.Desired: Strong project management and execution.
Experience with inventory management.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills with the energy and motivation to achieve significant results, and energize team. Proficiency with Microsoft Access and Datawarehouse.
Excellent quantitative, analytical & written skills.
Experience with negotiations.
3-4 years Functional experience.
