Inventory Control Coordinators

Founder and CEO/President Dan Brettler opened Car Toys' doors back in 1987 in Bellevue, Washington. MISSION & SCOPE:
Inventory Control Coordinators (ICC) or Inventory Coordinators (IC) are responsible for:
Accurately shipping, transferring and receiving store inventory in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Identifying and tracking inventory movement in and out of the store, so that status and location of all store merchandise is identifiable at all times.
Maintaining the stock room and its inventory to standards.
Meeting or exceeding all ICC customer service and performance minimum standards.
Demonstrating the Company Guiding Principles in all interactions with Company customers and other employees.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Customer Service
a.Provides superior, professional customer service to all customers, both on the phone and in persons.b.Meets or exceeds all customer service minimum standards, such as adhering to the dress code and timely customer follow-up and communication of the status of merchandise out for repair or service.
2.Inventory Movement
a.Ships defective merchandise to the warehouse, properly documented, within 24 hours of receipt.
b.Processes all store-to-store and store-to-warehouse transfers accurately and within 24 hours of request.
c.Processes all overstock pull-back requests.
d.Checks-in all merchandise delivered by the warehouse and verifies the accuracy of the shipping documents.
e.Receives product delivered directly to the store by vendors and verifies product received against the packing slips.
f.Processes all related paperwork daily.
3.Cycle Counts and Inventory Tracking
a.Tracks status of all customer service and repairs to ensure timely delivery.
b.Communicates regularly with customers so they always know the status of their service/repair order.
c.Consistently files all documents regarding inventory movement so that the status and movement trail of any specific item can be easily identified.
d.Runs reports and performs cycle counts as per the Company Cycle Count guidelines to identify potential shrink issues or inventory control problems.

5.Inventory and Stockroom Maintenance
a.Keeps stockroom clean and organized at all times and maintained in “inventory-ready” condition.
b.Stocks all merchandise in “item master” order after deliveries have been checked in and packing slips have been verified.
c.With approval of the Store Manager, orders any missing parts so that incomplete merchandise can be made whole and sold.
d.Ensures that all pieces of merchandise in the stockroom are appropriately labeled and processed so that a manager can identify the status at any given time.
e.Ensures that a “B” grade or “vendor repaired” merchandise is clearly labeled and differentiated from unused merchandise.
f.Inventories and orders forms and office supplies as per Store Manager request and according to schedule set by the Store Manager.
6.Communication
a.Updates all policy and procedure manuals as new material is distributed.
b.While at work, speaks and acts in a professional manner at all times.
c.Participates in problem-solving and finding solutions to work issues.
d.Refuses to participate in gossip.
7.Self Development
a.Establishes development plan with Store Manager to identify career paths of interest and maximizes on-the-job opportunities to learn and practice new skills.
b.Completes all appropriate CTU training and testing opportunities.DIMENSIONS:
This position does not have any budgetary or supervisory authority.This position is responsible for executing pertinent group and departmental Key Metrics.WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and coworkers, internal and external customers. Must demonstrate effective teamwork with other store employees and with other Company employees.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior successful retail experience and shipping/receiving experience preferred

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders 1% - 30% of the time.
Must be able to walk and stand on hard floors and some carpet 30% - 70% of the time.
Must be able to reach overhead and at or above shoulders 10% - 30% of the time.
Must be able to lift from knee height to shoulder height 30% - 70% of the time.
Must be prepared for frequent bending, crouching and squatting. Kneeling occurs 1% - 10% of the time.
