Inventory Assistant
Hammacher Schlemmer is currently seeking an Inventory Assistant to join our Inventory team! This position is based out of our Corporate office in Niles, Illinois. The Inventory Assistant will assist our Rebuyers with objectives and goals for department rebuying & inventory, reporting, vendor relations and various other projects.
What else will you do?
- Ensure all offer codes are setup with correct pricing prior to each new catalog mailing. Proof margin report prior to catalog drop date to be sure everything is loaded properly in the system.
- Work with our New York retail location to ensure proper inventory replenishment.
- Assist department members with various duties of which include but not limited to: cancellation of purchase orders, following up on shipments, setting up new items in the system, handing import issues, inventory code maintenance, etc.
- Coordinate the Canada mailing to insure each item has appropriate duties & taxes associated.
REQUIREMENTS
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree or some college with applicable work experience
- Proficiency with Order management system
- Proficient with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point
- Must communicate well with all levels of the organization
- Must have excellent external communication skills
- Must have good time-management, follow-up skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent data entry skills
