Dock Specialist/Display
Summary: Display the sales floor with merchandise by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: NFM Core Values set the standard for how staff deal with customers and suppliers, and how staff treat each other. Staff may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those outlined here.Uncrate and assemble merchandise and display merchandise on the sales floor: 85%
Confirm that correct merchandise has been picked. Uncrate merchandise from factory cartons. Attach handles, etc. Assemble merchandise that requires assembly. Tag merchandise. Apply total seal to upholstery. Pull sold product off of the floor. Wrap sold product for customer pick-ups.
Training, Safety, and Housekeeping: 10%
Attend OSHA required safety classes and specific training as mandated by NFM (i.e., Quality related classes, Service Plus, Back Education). Use sound safety practices. Identifies, reports, and take positive steps to correct any safety/security deficiency affecting NFM staff. Cleans assigned warehouse areas, including trash removal, floor scrubbing, sweeping, organizing, vacuuming, mopping, etc.Customer Pick-ups and Transfers: 5%
Greet customers. Take orders from customers and create signature copy. Verify that the correct merchandise was picked. Wrap and load merchandise into customer vehicles. Secure merchandise into customer vehicle without damaging the merchandise or the vehicle. Collect signature from customers, write down vehicle tag numbers, and put paperwork in office to be finalized. Scan labels on sold transfer merchandise. Load transfer merchandise on transfer trailer and secure it.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other staff members of the organization.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsReasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills: Ability to operate scanning equipment.
